AWATEC – General Terms & Conditions for Leak Detection & Plumbing Services
Business: AWATEC Leak Detection & Plumbing Contractor
Client: The person or entity requesting services
1. Scope of Agreement
These Terms apply to all services rendered by AWATEC, including but not limited to leak detection, plumbing diagnostics, repairs, and installations. Requesting a service constitutes agreement with these Terms.
2. Leak Detection & Inspection Services

Leak detection services are diagnostic in nature and do not guarantee leak resolution unless repair is approved and executed.
3. Plumbing Service Rates

A 1-hour minimum applies. Time is rounded to the next 30 minutes after the first hour.
4. Material Handling & Trip Charges
We supply or purchase all required materials based on what fits best for your specific job.
Materials are sourced using our experience to ensure quality, durability, and compatibility with your system.
- A trip charge between Afl. 50.00 and Afl. 75.00 may apply if materials must be picked up separately during the job.
- One consolidated invoice is issued. All supplier receipts are kept internally for accounting and reference purposes..
5. Access & Job Conditions
- Client grants permission for AWATEC to access areas necessary for inspection, testing, or repair.
- Detection or repair work may involve opening walls, floors, ceilings, or other surfaces. Restoration (e.g. tile or drywall) is not included unless quoted separately.
- Client is responsible for preparing the area to allow safe and clear access.
6. Estimates, Quotes & Work Approval
- All work beyond inspection will be quoted before starting.
- Verbal or written approval is required before proceeding.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days, unless otherwise stated.
- Deposits may be required for labor-intensive jobs or material pre-purchase.
7. Limits of Detection Accuracy
- While we aim for precision, leak detection results depend on site conditions and equipment access.
- Expected accuracy ranges from 85–95%.
- In some cases, secondary inspection or alternative methods may be recommended.
8. Billing & Payment Terms
- All services are invoiced upon completion unless otherwise arranged.
- One consolidated invoice is issued. All supplier receipts are kept internally for accounting and reference purposes..
- Payment is due immediately upon receipt unless formal credit terms are agreed.
- No discounts apply to hourly or fixed-rate service charges.
9. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a Afl. 75.00 fee.
- Emergency bookings may require prepayment or deposit to confirm scheduling.
10. Warranty & Responsibility
- Plumbing repairs performed by AWATEC include a 30-day workmanship warranty.
- Leak detection services do not carry a warranty and are considered diagnostic only.
- AWATEC is not liable for any damage to concealed systems or surfaces caused during necessary exposure unless due to negligence.
